Music is an important part of my life. I can play a few instruments well enough to enjoy the sounds they make. I have also been known to learn a song now and then.
One thing I have learned about my own playing is that I get bored very quickly. I will get an urge to learn a song, usually because I like some passage, or one aspect of the music… and so I sit down to pluck it out. Once I get the hang of it, or can reproduce some facsimile of that sound, I very quickly begin to lose interest and start looking for other things to do. When you are like me, there are plenty of other things to do. Consequently, I don’t often finish a tune, or learn the whole thing.
… but I am working on it. When I produce something worth listening to, or get an idea, I’ll try to keep this area up-to-date.
